Just shy of 46 miles today but it was hard going. Someone told me that cycling is all about the coffee and cake stops and today there were none!
As you can see from the elevation, there were 1,500 ft of climbing. On the day of the C2C we will be climbing nearly x 10 times this amount. As I am reminded at the club hills are practice, practice, practice.
Aside from the hills and the lack of coffee, the ride was stunning. We passed by Kirkham Abbey and saw newborn lambs. We are blessed to live close to the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.
